Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is the mode of education that use information and communications technology to support, enhance, and optimize the delivery of information. RRIAS practices ICT enabled teaching techniques in every possible way. All postgraduates lecture halls have projectors over the head. And many lecture halls are equipped with LCDs. The media center and E-Learning rooms are also utilized for teaching and learning purpose. The ICT possess the potential to transform the nature and process of teaching and learning environment culture. Interactivity, flexibility and convenience in ICT supported environment enables both teachers and students to access and share ideas and information in diverse communication styles and format.
With the help of ICT tools, classroom learning is not just restricted to textbooks, chalk and blackboard but also, relevant videos, documentary, movies, presentation, online study materials which become an integral part of the daily learning process today.
The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are provided. The facilities provided for both girls and boys hostel blocks are:
RRIAS adopts special measures to make sure that the students are provided healthy ad hygienic food. There are three cafeterias located in different blocks of the campus.
Apart from cafeterias, the campus also holds mini refreshment joints and vending machines like café coffee day are provided so that students can enjoy the facilities and amenities of the fast-paced metro lifestyle within the campus.
The RRIAS runs fleet of buses to facilitate our students and staff to commute to and from various boarding points across Bangalore. All buses are deluxe and have high capacity, for extra safety buses are enabled with CCTV and GPRS systems. Apart from our own transportation facilities the public transportation facilities, namely, BMTC buses also ply to the points near the campus.
The College has well equipped Dept. of Physical Education and Sports. In-Door Sports Hall for Table Tennis, Carom & Chess. Out-Door Sports facilities are multipurpose Ground, Volleyball court, Throw Ball Court, Ball Badminton Court & Basketball Court (Court). 200 metre running track, Football court, Hockey court, Softball Multiple Athletic events and leather ball cricket net practice facility available.
Built to international standards, the auditorium reflects, like everything else at the college, the commitment to provide students with the best of facilities. Equipped with full fledged audio-visual equipment and a digital projection system, the 1000 seat college auditorium is the stage for numerous important programmes through the year.
RR Institutions gives high priority to the health, safety and comfort of students. The college has a modern, well equipped 250 bedded hospital health care centre where the students get medical attention and guidance on health related issues. Regular health check-up camps are conducted for all students to monitor their health and 24 hours ambulance facility is provided for the needy. Each student is insured under the Mediclaim & Road Traffic Accident Policy
The spacious & sophisticated library houses diverse collection of over 1,00,000 books apart from subscription to leading National and International periodicals and e-journals which are available to our students, researchers and to our faculty members.
The audio-visual section houses an extensive range of audio and video tapes, slides and YouTube presentations. The library serves as a rich source of information for students to do research and reference in their respective course of study. Students can access more than 17600 full E-journals from ASCE, IEEE, Springer-link, Taylor And Francis, Elsevier Science Direct, Knimbus, Proquest, NPTEL videos, VTU E-Learning resources, HELIET, and DELNET, D-Store through digital library.
